Medical Travel Insurance

What company do you like? Do you travel so much you always carry travel insurance? Traveling for work or pleasure sometimes you got to have travel insurance. If I’m taking a direct flight no plane changes I will not use travel insurance at all. http://www.betins.com has good prices on travel insurance. Make sure they are also for extreme sports if your into that type of travel. I am not affiliated with Betins travel but I have used this company for my travel insurance. Anyone ever used them or what company do you use?

Hiawassee Georgia, Lake chatuge

Palm Peach rental from the back deck November 2019

This was taken on lake chatuge back in the summer 2019. Here is the website I booked the paddle boarding excursion. https://southernwatertrails.com/

He also has his Golden Retriever that comes along with him.

First time with stand up paddle boarding and I fell once. I like to think I have balance like a cat. Even cats fall at times. Definitely try lake paddle boarding on a lake first before ocean.I can’t imagine moving water underneath me and trying to stay balanced. I only got a few ripples of water from boats but this isn’t a crowded lake. This is a man made lake and it’s very quiet and beautiful up here.

Best October 2016

https://www.caravan.com/

I took this tour with Caravan, still had to pay single supplement. If I went back I would probably stay in one area and book everything myself. Group travel is a buffet you get to see a little bit of many places. Cover thousands of miles and when you decide to go back you know where you want to focus your stay. Third week in October is best time to see foliage in New England states. Japan and New England states have the most beautiful foliage anywhere in world. I haven’t made it to Japan yet but it’s on the list. Click on caravan website and it will give you detailed about the places they go and stops. I’m not associated with Caravan at all, hopefully will be in future. I definitely give the company great reviews for price and tour manager. Less expensive then a lot of the foliage trips.

This is outside my house a few years back.
I’m a lover of Fall trees and a cool breeze!

Gibbs Garden a beautiful place to go visit when in Georgia. Above photo taken at Gibbs Garden

Africa from helicopter ride in Zimbabwe
Some of my favorite photos and videos of my Africa trip .
Lion walk, this can be done in Zimbabwe but not in all countries in Africa . This trip was booked with Gate1 for more information click here https://www.gate1travel.com I’m not affiliated with them but I use them a lot. This travel group is usually older couples and I feel safe. I think you get a lot for your money with this company. If you’re really adventurous this may not be for you. I can definitely say that I can see in 2 weeks what others may see in a month. You will cover about 3400 miles roughly by bus. That is not exact mileage because every trip is different.

Always deals on Booking.com sometimes you don’t have to pay a deposit. I’m using them again this November. Here is my affiliate link so check out some deals! You usually pay at the hotel with Booking.com. Some hotels require a deposit up front and remaining 30 days before your trip. I stayed at Staypineapple at Hotel Rose back in May 2019. Great boutique hotel with comfortable beds. Restaurant had good food as well, good location. I took tours so they picked me up everyday from hotel. I booked my tours with viator the entire time I was in Portland.

Mount McKinley May 2019 perfect weather. Was still snow boarders and skiers on the mountains. Snow in May is exciting for me being from the south!

Custom made Children shirts

I recently purchased one for adult and for a child from 2 different companies on Amazon. If reviews are good and it’s inexpensive I go for it. The quality of the images are great! Lasted through washing as well. These are good for travel photos that are good quality. You can have your memories put on T-shirt. Also great as a gift.

Jackson hole here we go!!! September 2019

Have a short trip booked at he end of the month to Yellowstone and Tetons! Found a great deal on hotels.com was going to get a swank hotel. I decided no way, husband not with me I’m solo right!!! So my idea of a great vacation is not being in a hotel. Saved myself about 450 dollars that day.

My drive above to my hotel. The airport sets right inside the Grand Tetons. Beautiful place! God was partial to the Midwestern side of the USA. I was told a blizzard might come this weekend and I’m super excited about that. Leaving 90 degrees hot and humidity in the south. Can I get a shout out for a BLIZZARD!!!!! On my way to Mountain Modern Hotel, I liked this hotel, good latte’s walking distance from town and only about 1 hour to Yellowstone. Hotel only cost about $126 a night, very clean and good for solo travelers. Not a place for a honeymoon but it was perfect for me for the long weekend. For more information about this hotel visit

Moose is Loose. 5 minutes left of the tour and Bullwinkle showed himself. Wyoming sept 2019

September is a great time to visit Wyoming! Crowds are less get to see foliage and snow. Weather could not be better. Animals come out more this time of year also. I take lyft or take tours that have been booked in advance, like book months before your trip. Hard to see wildlife if you’re driving and the tour guides know where the animals go.

Travel Quotes

To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.

— Bill Bryson

“To move, to breathe, to fly, to float,
To gain all while you give,
To roam the roads of lands remote,
To travel is to live.”
